My very first research was in the field of Social Informatics. However, my current research activities follow three interrelated tracks:

1. Spatial patterning with regard to class, life course, ethnicity and sexuality: household mobility, segregation, gentrification, regional transformations and neighbourhood dynamics
2. Cultural politics and institutions shaping cities and regions: popular culture, the state and housing markets
3. The political and electoral geographies of state transformation
